ASEZA Launches New Charter Flights Incnetive Scheme

 Aqaba, Jordan’s up-and-coming Red Sea tourism destination, Aqaba will be stepping up its tourism promotion efforts in order to capitalize on its diverse offer of activities, including excellent diving, and on its ideal location as a base from which to visit the world-famous beauties of Petra, and the adventurous desert mysteries of Wadi Rum.

In order to encourage European tour operators to include Aqaba in their programs and to increase the destination’s exposure through joint marketing, the Governing Authority of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, ASEZA, is taking the initiative to support charter flight operations to Aqaba.  The aim is to make a contribution to the marketing costs which are needed to open new tourism markets and to support existing ones.  The new scheme replaces the incentive that was offered in earlier years, putting more emphasis on increasing length of stay and on carrying out joint promotions with tour operators in key source markets.

 Meanwhile this scheme will contribute to increase tourist’s length of stay and expenditure.
