Aqaba is divided into three main areas:
- The North Beach Area, where most of the hotels are located.
- The Middle Beach Area.
- The South Beach Area.
Public Beaches (Free Entry)
Aqaba Marine Park
There are two main public beach areas. One is located at the south beach in the Aqaba Marine Park, a 12 km drive from the town center. This beach provides visitors with umbrellas, seating, toilets and showers.

The Middle Beach previously Al-Hafayer
Aqaba water front, now renamed The Palm Beach, but was also known as Al-Hafayer, is located between the Royal Yacht Club in the north to the main port in the south. The area is characterised by several important historical buildings, such as Aqaba Fort, and civic spaces, like the Square of the Great Arab Revolt, as well as the historic palm groves and traditional crop gardens. The total length of the area is approximately 1.5 km while its maximum width is 260 at the square of the Great Arab Revolt.
Private Beaches
Private beaches include hotels, clubs and resorts. These usually charge a fee upon entry, although some non beachfront hotels have made deals with beachfront hotels on the beach for discounted entry fees. Check with your hotel if they have special deals.
Hotels on the Beach
All five star hotels enjoy direct access to the beach. These hotels are fully equipped with swimming pools, beach beds, showers, toilets, bars and restaurants as well as various kinds of water activities. If you are not staying at one of these hotels you can still enjoy their beaches for an entrance fee
Royal Diving Center
For those who prefer a mellower beach experience, the Royal Diving Center, located 18km from the city center, enjoys direct access to the beach along with freshwater pools, sundecks, a bar and a restaurant. You can also stay at the Coral Bay Hotel.

Tala Bay
Tala Bay offers a wide selection of activities for the entire family that includes hotels, sports and leisure activities, a 2km beach front, a beach club, commercial and retail centers, a marina and a Marina Town.
